The patent pending Bula Ball Method is a first-of-its-kind fitness program designed to train you in the practice of self-myofascial release.  The Bula Ball Method is a total body system that treats chronic muscle pain by releasing muscle tension, lengthen muscles and increase blood flow, which will promote healing and reduce chronic pain by gently manipulating muscle and bones.  The aim of the program is to help reverse years of stored muscle tension that is often the cause of chronic pain and to help return your body to its natural balanced state.  Our goal is to help teach you how to tap into your own natural ability to self-heal so that you can overcome your chronic pain.

The Bula Ball Method treats chronic pain that is caused by repetitive stress, poor posture or traumatic injuries on three levels:  (1) soft tissue massage/self-myofascial release;  (2) stretching and flexibility; and (3) core stability and strengthening.  This unique approach to rebalancing the body has led to profound results and is empowering pain sufferers to finally take control of their chronic pain.  The Bula Ball Method combines the breathing and concentration techniques of yoga with the muscle releasing techniques of self-myofascial release to promote healing by creating length and increasing blood flow to tired and overworked muscles.  The Bula Ball Method also works to reestablish the foundation of postural stability by using various Pilates techniques and strengthening and stretching exercises that build strength and allow muscles to come back into alignment.

The Bula Ball Method works by activating and releasing specific trigger points.  Using your own body weight, you will roll or lay on your Bula Balls at various points of tension throughout your body; your neuromuscular receptors will then send a message to the brain registering pain and restriction; the brain then sends a message to the receptors telling it to release. The longer you spend on one location the more the muscle releases.  Repeating this process on all of your trigger points will help each of the major muscle groups release tension which will restore balance and function to your entire body.

The Bula Ball Method is designed to correct muscle imbalances.  To complement the workout and enhance corrective results the developers of the Bula Ball Method have also designed a group of corrective stretches and poses that work on creating muscle length and strength.  The Bula Ball Method breaks bad postural habits, while helping you to build good new ones.  All the corrective exercises are in static positions – either athletic stretching or yoga/pilates like poses – and there is an emphasis on the breath and alignment.  Connecting the breath with the mind while holding the body in correcting positions ties this workout neatly together creating vitality and strength.
